This product is intended to provide additional sun protection to users. It is always advisable to wear appropriated clothes, hat, sunglasses, and sun screening products to prevent excessive sun exposure.
This product is intended to be used by adults and children (under direct adult supervision). Accidents-while being in the water-have greater risks to cause severe injuries or death. Please, use it wisely. Make sure the “L-shape” bracket is installed correctly and firmly tide, so it can’t move or rotate. Do not climb on it, or apply excessive weight to the umbrella and/or base. Do not over rotate the crank once the umbrella is fully opened (the system can be damaged or the crank might snap back and hurt you). Do not use it while the boat is in motion, if the wind exceeds 10 miles per hour*, or if the boat is moving excessively due to waves, currents, or other boat activities in the surrounding area. *Wind Gusts can exceed the speed broadcast by up to 9 knots.
These umbrellas are manufactured by other company than Umbrellas 4 Boats. These umbrellas are intended to be set in upright (vertical) position only. If you want to set the umbrella at an angle (like shown in the picture with the boat), you must first set the umbrella tilted and mark the exact point in which the screw (that holds the umbrella at the base) makes contact with the pole. Drill a hole on the pole, so the screw can get into the hole. This will prevent the umbrella's pole from turning/spinning. Failure to do this simple step (opening a hole on the pole) might result in damaging the pole due to excessive pressure (from the screw) over the surface of the pole.
We, Umbrellas 4 Boats, have invested a considerable amount of time and resources in finding a good quality aluminum umbrella to go together with our signature product/invention (the adjustable umbrella base for boats) in an effort to offer our customers a complete product and a better quality umbrella than those available in the market** at the time this document was redacted. **Most umbrellas are made of steel (highly corrosive) or wood. They are heavier than aluminum umbrellas.
Before using the umbrella:
Inspect the product. Umbrellas 4 Boats will replace the umbrella and/or base and/or its components due to malfunction or manufacturing defect. If the umbrella is not defective, then, it becomes "YOUR" umbrella. And you are fully responsible for its use and care. Umbrellas 4 Boats does not offer warranty on the umbrella unless you, the customer, have purchased a protection plan (if available). If such protection plan is purchased, Umbrellas 4 Boats will honor such warranty as detailed on the "Protection Plan" section. Otherwise, Umbrellas 4 Boats offers a 12-month warranty period (from the purchase date) for the aluminum base only. Breakage due to misuse voids any warranty.
Returns are accepted within 30 days from the purchase date. Items must be returned in its original package, including accessories, instructions and protective bag. Customer is responsible for shipping the item. After receiving and inspecting the returned item, Umbrellas 4 Boats will issue a refund provided no parts are missing or broken. A 10% restocking fee might be charged.
